Care instructions
Dry cleanOr hand wash very gently
No bleachAnd no soaking
Dry in shadeSun dulls the dye
Iron lowFrom the reverse

This dye will bleed. Wash it alone in cold water, every time — not just the first. Natural dye gives up a little colour with each wash. That is how you know it is not a print.

The craft

Batik on silk blend

Wax is drawn on wherever the dye must not reach, then boiled away. The fine veins in the colour are where the wax cracked.
